Returning Home: A Life’s Retrospective
Closing Reception & Birthday Celebration
Thanks so much to everyone who came out and made Ed “Nardie” White’s exhibition closing and 70th birthday celebration one to remember. As we at Portland Museum have learned over the course of this exhibition, but haven’t been surprised by, Nardie brings a crowd!
Helping us celebrate Nardie were Tip It Forward, who brought their mobile wellness clinic and provided free acupressure treatments to attendees. Look out for them at more events in the future, cause they were a hit.
We’d be remiss not to mention Swing ’39, who played tunes out on our back porch for the entire event! It was great to see attendees bring their food outside and enjoy the music (and the nice weather).
Returning, and thank goodness for it, was DJ Love Always, aka Albert Shumake, who handled the music inside the museum. His set was impressive as always.
Thanks again to everyone who came, and here’s to many more years of Nardie! Edward R. White, Returning Home: A Life’s Retrospective may be coming down from Portland Museum’s walls, but his presence as an artist is just beginning.
