Portland Museum with support from Louisville Metro Government’s External Agency Fund and the Kentucky Colonels are proud to announce the public opening of the Ed “Nardie” White Oral History booth! Have you ever wanted to record yourself or others, but just didn’t have the equipment or space? Have you wanted to record a podcast? An interview? Spoken word poetry? Well good news: Portland Museum has a recording booth on its campus with four microphones, an easy-to-learn audio mixer, and an iPad for public use! To get people started using it Portland Museum alongside various community partners hosted educational recording workshops teaching visitors ranging from elementary school children to retirees how to record their own stories.
