Community Conversation

In collaboration with Elsz & O Storytelling Gallery we hosted a panel discussion as part of their Out of the Void: Community Conversation series! The panel included Executive Director of Phoenix Global Humanitarian Foundation and Sub-Chief of Tolon-Ghana Dr. Renee Maltinaa Ann Campbell, Moderator and CEO of Elsz & O Storytelling Gallery Marlesha Sara, and our own Executive Director Katy Delahanty! The topics discussed included land history, erasure, family histories, acknowledgment, and more.

The event organizers at Elsz & O had these kind words to say:
“When creating safe spaces to convene focused discussions, community conversations are entry points that lean into accessibility, transparency and exploration of solutions from varied perspectives.
Participation from every panelist, attendee and advocate is appreciated.
Thanks to the Portland Museum administration for opening their doors and the warm welcome.”

Thanks to them and to everyone who participated or attended! We were honored to have been included in this important series.
